Natural selection is a controversial topic both among creationists and evolutionists and within creationism. No, it is not ‘proof’ of evolution, and yes it is a real phenomenon. But it was also operational in the world before Adam fell and sin and death entered the world. There are several reasons for this, as I detail in this video and the associated article.

I love you Dr. Carter, but I think the cmi article about “will bunny rabbits be saved” is pretty weak(not one of the better ones). I personally don’t see what the author is seeing in those verses, he seems to make some assumptions that seems like a bit of a stretch (he might say the same about mine) . I believe God created man and animals to live forever and it was man that sinned not animals. Man does need the moral savior but Jesus blood was more than powerful enough to redeem all of creation not just man. In Psalms 36:6, it has been translated “saves” man and the animals. One of the reasons God didn’t want to destroy Nineveh was because of the animals. He also saved animals in the flood with Noah. I don’t believe this is a salvation issue, and well meaning believers can see differently about a host of things.
Anyways love and agree with most of what you put out but I felt like I needed to say something. Keep up the good work!
You make some good points. But, while I believe there will be animals on the new earth, this will not be resurrections of all the animals that have ever lived. For example, it has been estimated that there are 20 billion mice in the world today. Given an average lifespan in the wild of maybe one year, that makes ~6000 * 20 billion mice that have ever lived. That’s a lot of varmints. Let’s not even talk about elephants.
